At Hart of Texas Realty, we believe real estate is about more than buying and selling homes—it’s about building stronger communities and supporting the people who protect the freedoms that allow those communities to thrive. That’s why giving back is a core part of who we are. A portion of our business is dedicated to supporting meaningful causes, and we are proud to contribute to the mission of the SEAL Legacy Foundation.
Here in Texas, we’ve always believed in taking care of our own—and Texans are known for having some of the biggest hearts in the country. At Hart of Texas Realty, that spirit of generosity is something we try to live out every day. Supporting the SEAL Legacy Foundation allows us to extend that Texas-sized gratitude to the brave individuals who have dedicated their lives to defending our nation.
Every transaction at Hart of Texas Realty represents an opportunity to give back. When our clients choose to work with us, they’re not just working with a local real estate brokerage—they’re also helping support a mission that honors service, sacrifice, and the families behind America’s elite warriors. It’s one small way we can say thank you while continuing to serve the communities we’re proud to call home.
No One Left Behind, No One Forgotten
Founded in 2011 by SEALs and run by SEALs, the SEAL Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting our nation’s elite warriors and their families. Whether active duty, reservist, retiree or separated, from World War II to present day, SEALs are supported across the continuum by the Foundation’s programs.
Our fiscal stewardship has been recognized with the top ratings by both Charity Navigator and Guidestar, which is something only one-half of 1% of the nearly 4 million IRS-recognized charities can claim. Some 94% of all donations go directly to support the NSW community.
To date, the SEAL Legacy Foundation has awarded over $30 million in grants and direct assistance.
Programs include:
Gold Star & Surviving Family Support
Support for Gold Star/surviving spouses and children of Navy SEALs in the immediate aftermath of a loss and in the ensuing years. Assistance is offered for funerals, mortgage, education, dental care and other health and quality of life needs.
Home Base TBI Treatment
Back in 2017, SEAL Legacy was the first to partner with Home Base and introduce its Intensive Clinical Program (ICP) to the Naval Special Operations community. The Foundation supports SEALs attending the ICP and/or ComBHaT program for post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury or other invisible wounds at no cost. Treatment, lodging, transportation and meals are covered for SEALs and a family member.
Honored SEAL Legacy Scholarship Program
The Honored SEAL Legacy Scholarship Program awards 51 higher education scholarships annually to children of Navy SEALs. Each $5,500 scholarship bears the name of one of the more than 100 Navy SEALs who have lost their lives since 9/11.
SEAL Legacy Grants Program
The Foundation’s grant program is designed to ease the financial burden that can occur as a result of service, whether immediate or years later, and includes support for health and medical costs, living expenses, child resiliency and educational needs, and other issues arising from frequent deployments and inherently dangerous work.
UDT-SEAL Association
The SEAL Legacy Foundation is a primary partner of the Association and underwrites its Veteran Support Program (VSP), which ensures veteran SEALs and their families receive the appropriate level of Veterans Administration benefits that positively impact their lives post service. In 2024, the VSP’s Veteran Service Officers processed 1337 direct claims to achieve $16.9 million in benefits for SEAL veterans.
